I have been posting kind of a lot lately. I am also watching Smallville…AND my daughter just put my husband’s cell phone in his water cup. That is always fun right….this girl is something else.
Anyway, my husband’s favorite hot sauce is Sriracha…he puts it on EVERYTHING. He even put it on ice cream once just to see what its like lol. So I decided to make some hot wings using that sauce. This isn’t a super low carb recipe, but its low enough…we are taking the Paleo approach on this one!
A lot of people have been telling me lately “Oh I can’t do Paleo, I need something low in carbs” I wish I knew what the outside perspective of Paleo was lol. When I first started my journey, I ate what people call “Low Carb” or “Keto”. I didnt necessarily pay attention to the QUALITY of the food I was eating, I was ONLY paying attention to the specific macros I wanted to follow. Sure, this works for a while, but your body will eventually reach that plateau. That is when I introduced the Paleo approach. This did not mean I stopped being “low carb”, all I did was remove some of the poor quality foods in my diet. I stopped buying things labeled low carb or sugar free, I stopped eating dairy products, I made sure that my meats werent pumped with hormones and antibiotics. I do my best to shop local grown, I buy healthy ingredients and make my own dishes and do not rely on “help” from the grocery store, I guess you could say. This is how I started Paleo…still low in carbs, healthy fats, quality protein and veggies. I just tweaked my low carb to a cleaner version basically. I absolutely loved how it made me feel, and I have been hooked ever since!
