Grilled Tri Tip
This isn’t so much a “recipe”…it was just good…ha. This was the last meal I ate before I got the flu…it has been days of saltine crackers and vitamin C. Being sick is no fun.
This is the easiest tri tip ever, but its so good.
5 lb tri tip
2 cups Italian dressing
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 Tbsp basil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Season both sides of the tri tip with all the seasonings, then pour the Italian dressing over it in a Tupperware container or shallow dish.
The next day, heat your grill, and cook for about 15 minutes on each side. You want the middle to be about 150 degrees for medium well. Sometimes I use the meat thermometer, especially because its been dark out so early and I cant really see lol.
I served this with a salad using romaine, shredded carrot, bacon, Parmesan and hard boiled egg.
The 5 lb piece of meat serves 6 in my house
The meat has less than 1 carb
The salad also had less than 1 carb per serving.
